DALLAS- The City of Dallas Office of Emergency Management & Crisis Response is proud to announce the upcoming Spanish-only Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Training course. This free and comprehensive training is designed specifically for Spanish-speaking residents, offering them the tools and knowledge to confidently respond to emergencies and support community resilience.
This course will be taught entirely in Spanish, removing language barriers and ensuring that more members of our community are equipped to protect themselves, their families, and their neighborhoods during times of crisis.
The CERT program equips participants with critical skills for responding to emergencies and disasters. The curriculum includes:

Basic disaster preparedness

First aid and fire safety

Light search and rescue operations

A hands-on disaster exercise on the final day
Upon successful completion of all sessions, participants will receive a certificate of completion. This training is ideal for those passionate about enhancing their emergency preparedness, contributing to community safety, and engaging in disaster response efforts.
