Reminder: Dallas Breaks Ground on $8.8M Project to Boost Trail Access & Economic Growth in Design District

What

Groundbreaking for the Trinity Strand Trail Hi-Line Span. This trail infrastructure project is the construction of a new pedestrian bridge at the end of Hi Line Drive in the Design District to connect the Circuit Trail and the Katy Trail to the Trinity Strand Trail. A lookout plaza at the new bridge will feature a shade structure, lighting, landscaping, and a public art sculpture. The enhanced connectivity between the Trinity Strand Trail, Circuit Trail, and Katy Trail will support the area’s attractions to tourists, residents, and businesses. 

The project is funded by the Design District TIF District and is a collaboration between the City of Dallas, Dallas Park and Recreation Department, and the City of Dallas Office of Economic Development.
