The City of Dallas invites the media to attend a press conference to learn about the results of the Heat Island Study Phase II that took place in the summer of 2024.The Urban Heat Island (UHI) mapping campaign addresses extreme heat, the number one weather-related cause of death in the U.S. for the past 30 years. This study was conducted by the Office of Environmental Quality and Sustainability (OEQS).
