Dallas Arts Month 2025 Press Conference

DALLAS -April marks the 12-year anniversary of Dallas Arts Month, highlighting the diverse, vibrant, and growing arts community. The Dallas Arts Month Kick-off Press Conference will begin at noon, Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the Latino Cultural Center (2600 Live Oak St., Dallas, TX 75204). Live streaming of the event can be found on dal.city/CityofDallasYT

“Dallas Arts Month is a time to celebrate our city’s vibrant arts scene, and this year, we have even more to cheer for,” Narvaez said. “With voters approving the largest arts bond in Dallas’ history, our creative community is stronger than ever. I encourage everyone to explore, engage, and embrace the incredible artistic experiences happening all month long.”

The kick-off event will feature live performances by Modern Cajon Jazz Ensemble, Kamica King, and Bombazo DFW, and a reading by the Youth Poet Laureate, Naisha Randhar. Councilmembers Omar Narvaez, District 6 and Paul Ridley, District 14 will be providing remarks at the kick-off.

“As we celebrate Dallas Arts Month, I am thrilled to see our city’s vibrant arts community come together to showcase the incredible talent and creativity that make Dallas truly unique,” Ridley said. “This month is a testament to the power of art to inspire, unite, and elevate our community. I’m excited for the many opportunities to engage with these artistic expressions and support our local artists as they continue to shape the cultural landscape of our city.”

Dallas Arts Month first debuted in 2013, and is designed to increase resident awareness, encourage participation and appreciation of the experiences Dallas artists and organizations create and nurture all throughout the city.

"Local arts and humanities nonprofits foster unity, belonging, community, and creativity," said Wayne White, Communities Foundation of Texas President and CEO. "As we work to grow giving across our region, Communities Foundation of Texas is thrilled to provide a one-stop-shop platform to make supporting nonprofits easy."

In celebration of Dallas Arts Month, Communities Foundation of Texas is proud to present “North Texas Gives to the Arts!” This campaign will run from April 17-30 and includes $100,000 in total matching funds from The Giana Foundation Fund, the Robert B. and Virginia Payne Fund for Arts & Culture, and Communities Foundation of Texas. The matching dollars will be available to participating arts organizations beginning Thursday, April 17 until the match has been met. NorthTexasGivingDay.org
