Dallas City Manager Kimberly Bizor Tolbert Adds Seasoned Spokesperson to Communications and Customer Experience/ 311

DALLAS -Today, City Manager Kimberly Bizor Tolbert is pleased to announce Alice Rios will join the City of Dallas as the official spokesperson for all multicultural media. She is fully bilingual in English and Spanish, enabling her to communicate seamlessly with diverse media outlets, community stakeholders, and residents on behalf of the City. Ms. Rios will also provide leadership oversight for the City’s external communications and engagement team for the Office of Communications and Customer Experience / 311.

"As we build a globally recognized city, with a thriving and inclusive community that sets the standard for excellence through innovation, efficient government, and targeted economic growth, two-way effective communications and engagement is paramount to our success,” said City Manager Tolbert. “Alice’s experience, deep understanding of Dallas, and its demographics will play a critical role to achieving our shared goals of a more connected and informed community, ensuring the voices of all of our residents are heard.”

Ms. Rios comes to the City of Dallas from the Texas Department of Transportation, as a Dallas District spokesperson. Prior to her tenure there, Ms. Rios served at Dallas College as Assistant Director of Marketing transitioning into Human Resources as a Project Manager and Onboarding Training Specialist before a promotion to the change management Workforce Development team. She is a former journalist who spent 24 years as an anchor / reporter with CBS Newsradio 1080, KRLD.

“The opportunity to join the City and serve our residents in this role aligns with my passion for being a public servant,” said Rios. “I am looking forward to playing a role in fostering trust with all of our stakeholders, with a focus on our multicultural community, by fulfilling City Manager Tolbert’s mandate to be responsive, accountable, open and accountable through each of our communications and engagement outlets for the City of Dallas.”
