On display December 7, 2024 through January 25, 2025
DALLAS - The Bath House Cultural Center announces “Entintado: Inked Visions from the U.S. and México” an exhibition showcasing works by nearly 50 printmakers from the U.S. and Mexico. This exhibit celebrates the rich tradition of printmaking on both sides of the border. The exhibition was curated by Enrique Fernández Cervantes. The center will host a reception with the artists from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.
“Entintado” stands as a testament to the rich tapestry of printmaking traditions weaving through the landscapes of Texas and other parts of the United States, as well as various regions of Mexico. This exhibition celebrates the long-lived heritage of traditional printmaking. With the masterful craftsmanship of artists spanning both sides of the border, the gallery transforms into a space for the exploration and celebration of this time-honored medium.
At the heart of “Entintado” lies an investigation into the diverse and intersecting visions of the participating artists, who use their creations as tools for personal exploration and to communicate their unique perspectives. The prints serve as a reflection of personal contemplations, as artists engage in their craft for both communication and self-exploration. The “Entintado” exhibition serves as a bridge between these rich traditions, uniting artists across geographies in a celebration of creativity, diversity, and the enduring power of the printed image.
