DALLAS - The Dallas Youth Commission (YC), in partnership with the National Civic League, has launched the 2024 Dallas Youth Survey. The survey aims to capture the voices of youth across the city and provide critical insights into the issues that matter most to students. The data collected will be used to inform the 2024 Dallas Youth Summit and guide important youth-centered programs and policies in the city.
Students are invited to share their thoughts on a range of topics including civic engagement, education, public safety, transportation, recreation, and future career aspirations. This is a by youth, for youth initiative, designed to empower students and ensure their voices shape the future of Dallas.
“This is an unprecedented opportunity for students to influence the city’s decisions on youth programs and services,” said Chloe Hawkins, Chair of the Dallas Youth Commission. “We want every student to know that their voice matters, and this survey is a direct way to impact change.”
The YC is aiming to gather 5,000 survey responses by November 30, 2024. Survey results will be shared at the Dallas Young Leaders Summit, where youth leaders will develop actionable plans for the city based on the feedback.
