The City of Dallas Office of Emergency Management & Crisis Response (EMCR) is hosting a National Preparedness Month press conference on Monday, September 9 at 12:30 p.m. in the City Hall Flag Room.
National Preparedness Month is held annually in September and encourages residents to be prepared for emergencies and disasters. Make a Plan, Build a Kit, Stay Informed, and Get Involved!
This year’s press conference will feature key updates on the City’s preparedness initiatives, showcase new resources available to Dallas residents, and provide valuable information on how individuals and families can better prepare for unforeseen events. Leadership from EMCR, Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR), and the Dallas Police Department (DPD) will be in attendance.
Topics will include National Preparedness Month, the upcoming City of Dallas Emergency Preparedness Fair, the City of Dallas EMCR Community Preparedness Program, the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and the City’s emergency notification system, DallasAlert.
