On display at the Bath House Cultural Center September 7-28, 2024
Dallas - The Bath House Cultural Center will present the exhibition DeepDive 2, featuring East Dallas artists from the White Rock Lake Artists Studio Tour, September 7-28, 2024. The center will host a reception with the artists on Saturday, September 7, from 6 to 8 PM. The reception features live music by Standards Gazette. All the events are free and open to the public.
The Bath House Cultural Center is proud to present DeepDive 2, an exhibition that celebrates the remarkable diversity and talent of artists who have been integral to the White Rock Lake Artists Studio Tour. This long-standing event, cherished by local art enthusiasts, has served as a vibrant platform for the creative community in East Dallas for 31 years.
DeepDive 2 is not just an exhibition but a tribute to the enduring legacy of the White Rock Lake Artists Studio Tour, which was first organized in 1992 by visionary artists Marty Ray, Michael Obranovich, and David Hickman. From its inception, the tour has sought to bridge the gap between artists and the public, inviting visitors into the intimate spaces where art is born—within the residential neighborhoods surrounding White Rock Lake. Through the years, the participating artists have continued to organize this beloved event, fostering a deep connection between the community and its artists.
As the Bath House Cultural Center hosts this exhibition, we not only celebrate the history and tradition of the Tour but also reaffirm our strong relationship with East Dallas artists. DeepDive 2 serves as a prelude to the 2024 Studio Tour, which will take place on October 12 and 13, offering a unique opportunity to explore the studios and meet the artists who keep the creative spirit alive in our community.
The exhibition includes artwork by Ann Alford, Chuck Armstrong, Lynn Armstrong, Matt Baglley, Byron Black, Rebecca Reagan Boatman, Melanie M. Brannan, Glo Coalson, Nancy Cole, Dan Collins, Marc Dominus, Elizabeth Dryden, Dawn Edelman, Lynn Eskridge, David Farrell, Annie Foster, Susan Giller, Linda Gilpin, Woody Glenn, Jim Hastings, Jamie Heavey, Sigrun Hukill, Jeff Hukill, Doug Jochum, Sue Jochum, Clara Johnson, Larry Paul Jones, Robyn Jorde, Rebecca Lansdowne-Collins, Chris Lyons, Jackie Maclelland, Laurie McClurg, Laura Moore, BAM Beverly Ann Moore, Sharon Neel-Bagley, Michael O'Keefe, Tink O'Neal, Richard Ray, Marty Ray, Elisabeth Schalij, Sharon O'Callaghan Shero, Janice Somerville, T.
