Dallas International Night Market Returns to Celebrate Cultural Diversity on September 21

DALLAS - The City of Dallas International District is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated return of the Dallas International Night Market, Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 4 to 10 p.m. This vibrant celebration of global cultures will be hosted at the Prism Center, located at 5580 Peterson Lane, Dallas, TX, 75240.

The Dallas International Night Market promises an evening of cultural exploration, featuring an eclectic mix of global cuisines, artistic performances, and unique handcrafted goods from local artisans. Attendees can embark on a culinary adventure, sampling an array of international dishes from diverse food vendors. Art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to discover distinctive creations by talented local artists. The event will also feature live entertainment and performances from the Community Artist Program (CAP), supported in part by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture.

Highlighting this summer closeout event are some remarkable performers:

  • Raquel Zamora, performing as Coyote Rock, will use her platform to raise awareness about the presence and heritage of Native peoples. "Dallas is known for its cultural diversity, but many are unaware of the region’s First Nations people. I’m grateful for the chance to share my story and demonstrate that Native communities continue to thrive,” said Zamora. Her performance will offer insights into Yaqui history and Indigenous storytelling.
  • Representa Foundation will infuse the event with Latin flair. As the first Colombian foundation in DFW offering completely free cultural workshops, Representa Foundation is dedicated to promoting Latin American culture through dance, music, and theater. “We have over 250 members and have showcased our programs at numerous events. Join us to dance the night away!” exclaimed Gabe Bautista. For more information, visit their online shop at shop.representafoundation.org
  • Dallas Storytelling Guild, represented by Peggy and Gene Helmick-Richardson of Twice Upon a Time Storytellers, will enchant audiences with tales from around the world. With nearly 50 years of community involvement and a focus on diverse storytelling, the guild brings a rich array of narratives to the stage. “We’re excited to perform for the first time at the Dallas International Night Market and share stories that unite and strengthen our communities,” said Peggy Helmick-Richardson. • Infinite Arts Movement will also be part of this cultural mosaic, adding to the diverse array of performances and artistic expressions. Infinite Arts Movement is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the community through the arts. They focus on fostering creative expression, cultural exchange, and community engagement through various artistic programs and events. Council Member Jaynie Schultz shared, “The Dallas International Night Market has become a cherished tradition for celebrating our city’s diversity through food, art, music, and dance. This inclusive event encourages everyone to honor their unique heritage and come together in support of local businesses.”

The Dallas International District, formerly known as the Valley View-Galleria area, is evolving into a dynamic multicultural hub. With the upcoming Dallas International Commons—a 20-acre park approved by voters—the district will continue to enhance its role as a vibrant live-work-play destination.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centre and the Hotel Association of North Texas for their generous sponsorship, which helps make this event possible.

The event is a collaborative effort between 4OAK Events, the Dallas International District, and the City of Dallas. Attendees can look forward to a memorable evening filled with cultural richness and community spirit.
