Applications Now Open for Dallas Home Improvement & Preservation Program   

 

DALLAS-The Home Improvement & Preservation Program (HIPP) is now accepting applications from eligible Dallas residents. The application period will remain open until August 30, 2024, at 5 p.m.  

The Home Improvement & Preservation Major Systems Repair Program (MSRP) offers up to $24,000 in forgivable loans for major system repairs to qualified households.  

This program can assist with a range of repairs, including HVAC system replacements, electrical and plumbing work, accessibility modifications, and more. 

Application Period: 

  • Start Date: August 19, 2024 
  • End Date: August 30, 2024 

 How to Apply: 

  1. In-Person: Visit the Housing Department's walk-up window at City Hall (1500 Marilla St), Room 2CN, between 8 a.m. on August 19 and 5 p.m. on August 30. Proof of receipt will be provided at the time of application. 
  2. Email: Submit your complete application packet to hipp@dallas.gov between 8 a.m. on August 19 and 5 p.m. on August 30. Ensure you receive a confirmation email to verify that your application has been received. 

Eligibility: Applicants must be single-family property owners residing in Dallas with a household income at or below 80% of the Area Median Income.
