Dallas Animal Services to Participate in DFW Pets Are Family Event

DALLAS - Dallas Animal Services (DAS) is teaming up with CUDDLY and several local animal welfare organizations to provide assistance to Dallas pet owners. On June 1 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., residents can visit La Academia de Estrellas at 4680 West Kiest Boulevard, Dallas, TX 75236 for free pet food, vaccines, and microchips for cats and dogs while supplies last, courtesy of CUDDLY.

“Supporting pet owners who may be struggling is critical to our #BeDallas90 mission to save more lives,” says Mary Martin, Assistant Director of DAS. “DFW Pets Are Family events not only help pet owners, but shelters across our area, by keeping pets out of shelters and with the families who love them.”

Local organizations participating in this event include Dallas Pets Alive!, Spay Neuter Network, Operation Kindness, SPCA of Texas, JP Morgan Chase and The Love Pit. Vaccines and microchips are generously provided by Petco Love and Banfield Foundation, and discounted training vouchers will be distributed by GoodPup. More information about Dallas Animal Services and all of the free and low-cost resources available to Dallas residents can be found at BeDallas90.org.
