DALLAS - Dallas Animal Services (DAS) and Friends of Dallas Animal Services (FODAS) will be hosting an ice cream social for dogs and residents on National No Dirty Dishes Day. FODAS is sponsoring free ice cream and dog-safe ice cream from Ben and Jerry’s on May 18 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The first 60 dog adopters this weekend will also receive a free slow feeder bowl.
“We want to give a heartfelt thank you to our adopters for supporting Dallas Animal Services by choosing adoption,” says Wendy Reiner, Executive Director of FODAS. “There’s no better way to say thank you than with ice cream!”
Anyone interested in adopting a pet from DAS should visit the shelter from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday; 1 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday; and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
