Council District 11 Hosts Community Clean Trash-Off and Community Resource Fair

DALLAS -Councilmember Jaynie Schultz, District 11, and Dallas Parks and Recreation are proud to announce the District 11 Community Clean Trash-Off event and Community Resource Fair, happening this Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Fretz Recreation Center.

"I am excited to host the District 11 Community Clean Trash-Off and Community Fair. This event will offer vast array of services that the community can utilize to live a healthy and productive life and the Trash-Off makes it easy for residents to dispose of bulky items, hazardous materials, and provide document shredding services.", said Councilmember Jaynie Schultz.

The Community Clean Trash-Off program is an interdepartmental collaboration between the Department of Code Compliance and Sanitation. Trash-Off is an excellent opportunity for City of Dallas residents to get rid of bulky items for free, clear out their garages and yards of bulk trash, brush, batteries, motor/cooking oil, and water-based paint. Bring your items to the Fretz Recreation Center, 6950 Beltline Road, on Saturday April 13, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The family friendly Community Fair will be hosted outside at the Fretz Recreation Center from on Saturday April 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. In the case of rain, it will move indoors. Sponsored by Sams Club and Sunrise Senior Living, residents can expect great giveaways, fitness demonstrations, on-site pet adoptions, and free community resources for residents.

Please share this information with your audiences. We look forward to hosting our residents and sharing these important resources.
