DALLAS -Gay Donnell Willis, Dallas City Councilmember, has been appointed to the National League of Cities (NLC) 2024 Finance, Administration and Intergovernmental Relations Federal Advocacy Committee. Councilmember Willis was elected to a one-year term and will provide strategic direction and guidance for NLC’s federal advocacy agenda and policy priorities on taxes that affect cities, towns and villages, voting and voter protections, advancing housing finance legislation, and more. The appointment was announced by NLC President Mayor David Sander of Rancho Cordova, CA.

This role enables us to elevate our local challenges and successes to a broader stage, fostering collaboration and learning from cities across the country. It is a privilege to represent Dallas in these critical discussions, and I am committed to making a meaningful impact.”
As a member of NLC’s Finance, Administration and Intergovernmental Relations Federal Advocacy Committee, Councilmember Willis will play a key role in shaping NLC’s policy positions and advocate on behalf of America’s cities, towns and villages before Congress, with the administration and at home.
