DALLAS - The City of Dallas Development Services Department (DSD) will be relocating its office to 7800 North Stemmons Freeway.
This strategic move marks a significant milestone in the DSD’s growth and commitment to providing better customer service and an enhanced work environment for the team.
The department has been operating in its current facility at 320 E. Jefferson Boulevard since 1986. After 36 years in Oak Cliff, the City Council approved the purchase of the new DSD facility in July 2022. The new office space has been carefully selected to serve as a “ONE-STOP” permitting shop, providing a convenient and efficient experience for customers, citizens and stakeholders engaged in development processes.
This “ONE-STOP” permit office represents the DSD’s initial efforts to streamline and improve services for the development community. Later this month, the relocation will occur in two phases to ensure a smooth transition and minimize disruption to customers’ business operations.
During the transition period, the DSD highly encourages customers to contact the appropriate division to make an appointment to avoid unnecessary trips to the old location and help the team maintain uninterrupted service delivery.
The relocation process is set to commence on Dec. 18, 2023, and is expected to be completed by early February 2024.
