This program seeks to provide financial assistance and education to under-served communities in the areas of title and property law.
When a relative passes away or income is a problem, it is often difficult for heirs or owners to fix title issues with their homes. The S.A.V.E. Your House program is designed to provide financial assistance to residents relating to direct ownership issues, tax penalties, liens, and heirship issues by subsidizing legal costs. Services include:
- Affidavit of Heirship
- Disclaimer Deeds
- Warranty Deeds
- Muniment of Title
- Small Estate Affidavit
- Mediation between heirs to the property
- Probate (if necessary and within the statute of limitations, with some exceptions)
