Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Omar Narvaez and City of Dallas staff will join representatives from Greater Dallas Korean American Chamber of Commerce in unveiling updated street signs with Korean translation in Northwest Dallas. This area of Dallas is home to the largest Korean American community in Texas. The unveiling will take place on Korean American Day. Korean American Day is a day to recognize the contributions of Korean Americans and celebrate the arrival of the first Korean immigrants to the United States in 1903. The street signs will be installed at the intersections of New Kirk, Royal Lane, and Harry Hines.
“Installing Korean/English Street signs in Northwest Dallas is an important step in recognizing the important contributions of the Korean community in the City of Dallas.” Narvaez said.
