National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week

All of you are superstars in our eyes! Our team is incredible and we are so grateful for the work you do each and every day. We have published some posts of appreciation for our staff on our Facebook page and we hope you'll check them out! Our shows of appreciation won't end when this week is over; we plan to showcase our staff more frequently on our social media pages so the public can get to know you and the incredible work you do.

Briena Dart, Business Supervisor, is leaving Dallas Animal Services; her last day is Tuesday, 11/15. She has been a dedicated part of our team since 2018 and we wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors!

Big shoutout to the Adoptions team and Paul Ramon for setting up this adorable photo spot for adoptions. Little touches like this can make such a huge difference in our engagement with the community. Great initiative!

Adoptions at Sneaky Pete's in Lewisville

We are having an adoption event this Sunday! We will be at Sneaky Pete's in Lewisville from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with adoptable pets.

Maddie's Fund Shelter & Rescue Support Calls

Maddie’s Fund, in concert with American Pets Alive!, hosts a weekly hour-long Zoom call for animal welfare workers and volunteers. While these calls started out as a response to COVID-19, it’s grown into so much more. These calls are a safe place to discuss uncomfortable topics, all while sharing a common goal of preserving the human-animal bond.

This call, recurring each Monday unless otherwise posted, is primarily for shelter workers, volunteers and rescue organizations.
