Mayor Johnson announces hiring of Anita Zusman Eddy as senior adviser

DALLAS — Anita Zusman Eddy will join the Office of Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson as a senior adviser, the mayor announced Tuesday.

Eddy, who is currently the executive director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of Dallas, will officially start work for the City of Dallas on Aug. 15.

“I am honored and excited to be joining Mayor Johnson’s team,” Eddy said. “I look forward to supporting and helping to advance the mayor’s vision as he continues to serve the residents and businesses of Dallas.”

Eddy has served as the Executive Director of the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) of the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas since May 2013. Prior to her tenure at the JCRC, she served as the Vice President/Director of Economic Development and Government Affairs at the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce in California. She has a law degree and a Master in Public Administration from the University of Southern California.

Mayor Johnson has known Eddy for several years through her community work. Last year, he appointed Eddy to serve on the Mayor’s Anti-Hate Advisory Council.

“Anita Zusman Eddy was already an important ally in our efforts to build a safer, stronger, and more vibrant future for Dallas,” Mayor Johnson said. “And with her outstanding experience and skillset, she will make an excellent addition to our team.”
