The report, which encompasses Fiscal Year 2020-2021, serves as an overview of the work the City Attorney’s Office does to provide legal services to the City of Dallas and inspector general. CAO is organized into four key areas: community advocacy, general counsel, litigation and inspector general. 

“This report details the work of our office, including financial trends, litigation results and special initiatives,” said Chris Caso, City Attorney. “While we were dealing with the effects of COVID-19 during the last fiscal year, the members of the City Attorney’s Office worked tirelessly to provide the highest quality and timely legal services to the City.” 

The report details the structure of the City Attorney’s Office, budget and expenses, summary of current litigation, special projects and more.  

It is available in English and Spanish. 

Moving forward, the City plans to release a State of the City Attorney’s Office report annually.
