Sotheby’s will be auctioning the privately-owned official first-printing of the final official Constitution on Nov. 18. It is one of only 11 copies still in existence from the 500 printed for the Constitutional Convention in 1787. It is expected to sell for $20 million. Proceeds are slated to fund the Dorothy Tapper Goldman Foundation, an organization dedicated to further the understanding of democracy.

Dallas Public Library holds an original broadside printing of the Declaration of Independence, one of only 26 copies still in existence and the only one on display west of the Mississippi River.
