Message from Councilwoman Carolyn King Arnold:
Councilwoman Carolyn King Arnold encourages all Dallas residents to take time to thank teachers for their service and sacrifice.
Arnold is a retired teacher who taught more than three decades and understands the day to day experiences of teachers.
The COVID-19 pandemic has placed a challenge on our classrooms that has never been experienced. Our teachers gave rise to the occasion to ensure our children still receive an education.
Everyone is encouraged to take time to say thank you in their own special way to our “Frontline responders”.
"Every child deserves a champion – an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be." by Rita Pierson

A Mother Just like You
I just want to let you know
You mean the world to me
Only a heart as dear as yours
Would give so unselfishly
The many things you’ve done
All the times that you were there
Help me know deep down inside
How much you really care
Even though I might not say
I appreciate all you do
Richly blessed is how I feel
Having a mother just like you
