New Exhibit: Glow Forest
Opening Date: January 8, 2021 Location: Oak Cliff Cultural Center
Oak Cliff Cultural Center proudly presents Glow Forest. This art exhibition will be on display January 8, 2021 - February 5, 2021.
The exhibition is free and can be safely viewed from the outside.
Artist Statement Glow Forest is a serene and colorful jungle environment that offers an escape from winter and the turmoil of 2020. As a place of quiet meditation, viewers will be invited to look inside an empty storefront to discover a quiet place of meditation, solace, and inspiration. This piece is part of a series presented in storefronts as a response to the shuttering of small businesses in the wake of the pandemic and social unrest.
Artist Bio Eric Wagliardo is an internationally recognized artist and creative who resides in Brooklyn, NY, and Dallas, TX. His work explores the wonders and possible dangers of technology. He was one of five international artists selected to create virtual murals for the Vancouver Mural Festival. He collaborated with Childish Gambino to create an augmented reality musical experience and presented a public art installation at Grand Central Station in NYC for Matt Damon’s Water.org.
