Christmas and New Year's Day Collection Adjustments

Garbage and recycling collections normally scheduled for Fridays are rescheduled for Friday, Dec. 25 (Christmas Day) and Friday, Jan. 1 (New Year's Day). Collections for Friday areas will occur two days early, on Wednesday, Dec. 23, and Wednesday, Dec. 30, respectively.

Landfill and Transfer Station Holiday Operating Hours and Closures

LANDFILL
In observance of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, McCommas Bluff landfill will operate on an amended schedule detailed below.

Thursday, Dec. 24 – Closed to the public at 4 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 25 – CLOSED

Saturday, Dec. 26 – CLOSED

Thursday, Dec. 31 – Closed to the public at 4 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 1 – CLOSED

Saturday, Jan. 2 – CLOSED

TRANSFER STATIONS
In observance of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, transfer stations will close on the dates listed below.  To accommodate early garbage and recycling collections for Friday service areas on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, transfer stations will be closed to residential customers on Wednesday, Dec. 23, and Wednesday, Dec. 30 (Bachman Transfer Station will remain open to commercial customers on these Wednesdays).
