Request for Coverage:  Over Policing in South Dallas

Dallas City Council Member Adam Bazaldua will address the current over-policing by DPS State Troopers in the targeted areas identified by the Dallas Police Department in District 7. DPS has stopped over 12,500 Dallas residents in the last 7 weeks in predominantly minority communities as offered by Governor Greg Abbott in response to the recent spike in violent crime throughout the city of Dallas. Several elected officials will be in attendance including Commissioner John Wiley Price, District Attorney John Creuzot, Mayor Pro Tem Adam Medrano, City Councilmembers: Casey Thomas, Omar Narvaez, Jaime Resendez, and Chad West.
