Dallas Animal Services to help pets of unsheltered community

Two City of Dallas departments are joining forces to host a pop-up clinic on Saturday, Feb. 16 to ensure pets that belong to Dallas' homeless population receive preventative medical care. Dallas Animal Services (DAS) along with the Office of Homeless Solutions (OHS) will hold a free pet support event for those experiencing homelessness.

With the help of The Bridge and the Spay Neuter Network, Dallas' unsheltered community can bring their pets to The Bridge, 1818 Corsicana Street, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for free services. Those who attend will have the opportunity to get their pet a microchip, vaccinations and supplies at no cost.

The clinic will be staffed by DAS and partner organizations who will provide free medical care and other services for the pets of those experiencing homelessness.
