Fitness expert helps Dallas Park and Recreation
kick off Olympics-type competition open only to
athletes 50 and older
Among 300+ Dallas Senior Games athletes are several 90+-year-olds
WHAT: Dallas Senior Games Kickoff Celebration
Dallas Park and Recreation officially opens the Dallas Senior Games with the
help from fitness expert Donna Richardson. Senior Games participants
will enjoy information fair, 5K run and 1K fun walk through Fair Park, musical
and dance performances. Highlighting the event is the Parade of Athletes
Senior Games is an Olympics-styled fitness and leisure contest for
adults 50 and older. Athletes compete in 12 competitive sports and 32 leisure
events including cycling, swimming, basketball, bowling, tennis, golf, track,
pickle ball and more.
WHEN: Thursday, March 15, 2018
TIME(S): 9 am Vendor Fair, 5K Run/1K Walk Begins
10 am Parade of Athletes
10:30 am Ceremony and 5K/1K Awards Presentation
11:30 am Musical and dance entertainment
