Kids and families invited to “Touch a Truck” at Audelia Road Library

Dallas - Kids and families can get an up-close look at some of the big commercial and industrial trucks being driven throughout our community at a free event Wednesday, March 14 at the Audelia Road Branch Library. “Touch a Truck” will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Audelia Road Branch, 10045 Audelia Road.

“We know that children have an interest in large trucks, emergency vehicles and other equipment they see in the community, and this event lets them learn about how they work and what they do, in a safe and positive way,” said Children’s Librarian Hannah Blanton.

Dallas Police Department, Dallas Fire-Rescue, City of Dallas Sanitation, Dallas Park and Recreation, Dallas Street Services, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department and the U.S. Postal Service are among those providing vehicles and staff to visit with parents and children and answer questions.
