Women of Wonder Con
coming to Dallas Public Library Saturday; The
event to conclude with female superheroes Guiness World Record attempt
Dallas - Women and girls involved in creative
industries are invited to network and learn at Women of Wonder Con Saturday at
the Dallas Public Library. Women of Wonder
con is a free event created to encourage women and girls as they navigate
sometimes difficult creative fields.
The event, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Dallas Public
Library, 1515 Young St., will feature guest speakers, panel discussions and
creative workshops on comics, graphic
design, fine arts, film making, acting and other creative areas.
The
Conference will conclude with a Guinness
World Record attempt for “the largest gathering of people dressed as female superheroes,”
from 6 to 7 p.m. in front of the library. To
get involved in the attempt and keep up with all the details join the

Women of Wonder will feature actress, martial
arts expert and stunt woman Caitlin Dechelle; author and career
coach Lar Park Lincoln and featured WFAA-TV Reporter Hannah Davis. Artists and authors
will have art, jewelry and books for sale in a special Artists Alley.
“Although Women of Wonder’s focuses is on women in creative
fields, we encourage everyone to attend the event,” said Dallas Public Library
Fine Arts Manager Tiffany Bailey.
