Dallas Police Host School Violence Exercise

This school violence response exercise will give Dallas first responders and school districts within the City of Dallas the opportunity to evaluate their policies and procedures in a series of simulated emergencies. 

Media will have access to the briefing before the exercise, as well as the opportunity to speak to leaders from the agencies involved. Media will not have access to the exercise itself.

What: The Dallas Police Department will host a school violence exercise for first responders in Dallas. This exercise will evaluate current plans, policies and procedures for emergency events for Dallas public safety agencies, and the Dallas, Plano and Richardson Independent School Districts. 

Who: Dallas Police; Plano, Richardson and Dallas ISD leadership

When: 1 p.m., Friday, March 2, 2018
