Southern Dallas is 'Ready to Work!'
Dallas – The
Thurgood Marshall Recreation Center will host a two-part Workforce Development
Workshop on Thursday, January 11. It begins with a job training vendor fair
from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The fair is designed to target people interested in finding
out what training is necessary for employment. The fair will be followed by a
Workforce Development Discussion Panel from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. moderated by
Dallas City Councilmember Casey Thomas. Panel members will discuss the work
climate in Dallas as well as most needed jobs in the area and take questions
from the audience.
