About the Mass Casualty Incident Exercise

The City of Dallas’ Office of Emergency Management is planning the next Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) Exercise. The exercise is scheduled for March 2018. Media is invited to a planning meeting, and are asked to help communicate to the public that this exercise poses no danger.

The MCI exercise will simulate a building collapse, and utilize nearly 300 people. Dallas Fire-Rescue and neighboring fire departments will participate in patient extrication, triage and transport. Over 100 volunteer actors will play victims, complete with simulated injuries and moulage makeup.
