Did you know that the City of Dallas has 188.6 miles of lanes for biking, with more on the way? From shared road lanes to regular and buffered bike lanes, not to mention multi-use trails, there are biking options available citywide. These multi-use trails and on-street bike routes provide access to DART stations, the Trinity River, and entertainment areas such as Bishop Arts, Victory Park, White Rock Lake, Downtown Dallas, and more. New dining and drinking options now available at The Statler

Victory Park is booming, with loads of new places to live, work and play

Stylish redevelopment in Downtown Dallas is home to new Commissary

Walk inside stylish Commissary on Main Street and you'll feel like you're in a small cafe, great for lunch or just good coffee. You are. But in the bowels of that blue-tiled building, a fleet of butchers slice charcuterie and dry-age meats for eight well-known Dallas restaurants. Construction of new Starbucks begins at Southern Dallas' Red Bird Mall

The redevelopment of Southern Dallas' Red Bird Mall continues, with the recent groundbreaking for the new Starbucks. The mall is getting a major makeover, with a new hotel, apartments, retail and more planned for the 120-acre property. Source: Dallas Morning News, November 9, 2017.

Dallas cost of living remains near national average

  • The Council for Community and Economic Research publishes a quarterly Cost of Living Index to provide an accurate measure to compare cost of living differences among urban areas. The index remains near the national average of 100 (Dallas = 102.0). In other words, Dallas is just 2 percent above the national cost of living average.
