Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Atkins again presents Home for the Holidays; Dallas Cowboy Martellus Bennett will kick off the event  on Tuesday

 

What:             Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Tennell Atkins and Dallas Cowboys’ #80 Tight End Martellus Bennett will kick off the Fifth Annual “Home for the Holidays” toy drive and adopt-a-family campaign. Bennett, who joined the campaign to address the growing need to adopt families during the holiday season, will be on hand to sign autographs.

 

The need for the “Home for the Holidays” campaign continues to grow in District 8 with more families feeling the effects of the economic downturn. The goal of the campaign is to bring holiday joy to as many families as possible. Those wishing to contribute can drop off unwrapped new toys, clothing items or gift cards at Dallas City Hall in the Flag Room (6EN) or at 5EN after the press conference.

 

Campaign sponsors include City of Dallas, South Texas Dental, Union Pacific, TLC Realtor Group, 97.9 FM The Beat, 94.5 FM Old School, KHAFRA, K Strategies, Jet Center of Dallas, Gold Metal Recyclers, Dallas County Schools, Texas Instruments, Walmart, Advantage Healthcare Systems and the Truly Blessed Foundation.
