City of Dallas is hosting a resource workshop to enhance small businesses
Dallas – The City of Dallas is hosting a workshop to provide resources and programs to help small businesses and start-ups. The Small Business Resource Workshop will take place on Tuesday, April 18 at Eastfield College Pleasant Grove Campus, located at 802 South Buckner Boulevard, Dallas, TX 75217 from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at no cost for attendees.
The workshop is designed for small businesses in southeast Dallas and beyond. Attendees will receive tools to increase membership and/or clientele, learn how to work with the City and receive information on how to obtain loans and grants from micro lenders.
“The strategic intent is to identify and promote economic development opportunities that create jobs to grow and expand business opportunities while increasing the property and sales tax base for the city,” says Erma Saracho, Senior Coordinator, Office of Economic Development, City of Dallas.
This workshop is an extension of the Neighborhood Plus effort in Pemberton Hill. City staff has been working with Pemberton Hill/Trinity Forest residents for nearly a year. It is one of several workshops helping to provide resources to residents and stakeholders in the area.
The keynote presenters and partners include Southeast Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Southeast Dallas Chamber of Commerce, Accion Texas, LiftFund, PeopleFund (SDDC), WiNGS, Dallas B.R.A.I.N, Business & Community Lenders (BCL), Neighbor Up Dallas, City of Dallas, Dallas Business Development & Procurement and the Office of Economic Development.
