Wilson will host a National Night Out Crime Prevention Event October 4 at the University of North Texas at Dallas.
Residents are encouraged to attend
the event and meet their neighbors, crime watch groups, City of Dallas
representatives and various service providers. This year marks the 33rd
anniversary of the introduction of the National Night Out, an effort to promote
organized neighborhood involvement in crime prevention activities,
police-community partnerships and neighborhood solidarity. Residents will also
enjoy free food, beverages and performances.
The Dallas Police Department, Code Enforcement Department, Streets Services,
Dallas Water Utilities, Housing, Library Services, Dallas Park and Recreation,
Sanitation, Dallas Fire & Rescue, and Dallas Water Utilities will be among
the City Departments participating.
