12th Annual Trinity River Levee Run and “All Out Trinity”

Saturday, March 5, 2016

The area by the Dallas Continental Bridge and West Dallas Gateway, the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge and the Trinity River will be going all out for the 12th Annual Trinity River Levee Run and All Out Trinity on Saturday, March 5, 2016. The Trinity River Levee Run is produced by the Trinity Commons Foundation, Dallas Running Club and the City of Dallas with long-time race supporter Luke’s Locker. All Out Trinity, collection of fitness activities is produced by the Trinity Commons Foundation and the City of Dallas. The event brings thousands of runners, sports enthusiasts and entire families to the Trinity River to enjoy the diverse activities planned for the first Saturday in March. Join us to kick, jump, run, skate, stretch, pose, bike, walk, shop, and eat.

TRAFFIC ALERT:      The Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge will be open for the enjoyment of pedestrians and the participants in All Out Trinity events only. The eastbound side of  the bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic from 7 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. and the westbound side of bridge will be closed from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. The westbound side of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge will reopen for regular vehicular traffic at 6 p.m.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES:  

7:00 a.m. Elite Inline Skate Exhibition - Highly trained elite inline skaters will speed away on a quick loop around the race route finishing on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge.

 8:00 a.m. Trinity River Levee Run -  The run features a 10K, 5K, and 1 mile fun walk/run across both the Continental and Margaret Hunt Hill Bridges. The event also incorporates the Glenn Carter Safety Challenge, an annual friendly race challenge between the Dallas Fire-Rescue and Dallas Police Departments. This legacy event features an USATF Certified Course designed by the Dallas Running Club and Luke’s Locker, chip timing and technical running shirts. Register at www.runthetrinity.com

10:30 a.m.  Gravethon! -  Offers biking adventure in the heart of the City with routes from 6 to 60 miles. Gravelthon! Register at allouttrinity.com.

11:00 a.m. RAFT Outdoor Market  - An outdoor marketplace that will feature everything from local artists and food trucks to clothing and artisan foods.  Open until sunset.

11:30 a.m.  Dallas PAL Boxing Demonstrations -  Members of the Dallas Police Athletic League (PAL) boxing club between 8 -18 years-old will put a put on a boxing exhibition. The league currently has four number one National Champions, two females and two males. 

11:30 a.m. AOT Fitness Hour - Participate in the celebration of movement and exercise and enjoy group exercise, aerobics, cross-fit and dance all on the bridges. Participating groups include: A Tribe Called Sprinters, Poser Kids Yoga, Adaptive Training Foundation, D-Town Crossfit, Rock Star Fitness Camps, Oak Fit, Camp Gladiator and Sankalpa Wellness.

1:00 p.m. Yoga on the Bridge - The excitement and beauty of Yoga on the Bridge returns! Open level yoga class under the arch of the iconic Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. Families are welcome. This one-hour open level yoga class is designed for adults who are new to yoga as well as for experienced practitioners. Register at allouttrinity.com.

1:30 p.m. Cycle Kids Obstacle Course on Dallas Continental Bridge - Cycle Kids in partnership with BikeDFW is hosting a kid’s bicycle obstacle course on the east side of the Continental Avenue Bridge and West Dallas Gateway during the All Out Trinity Festival!

 2:30 p.m. AOT Just Ride Dallas Bike Drag Races on Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge - Just Ride Dallas has partnered with All Out Trinity to bring the next exciting bike Drag Race event. With the skyline of downtown Dallas as the backdrop, who’s the fastest man and woman on two wheels down the 1000' track?

 3:00 p.m. Special appearance by “Piolin” Spanish radio personality - Meet “Piolin” Spanish radio personality, Eduardo Sotelo, on the main stage.

3:30 p.m. K9-Palooza meet at West Dallas Gateway Plaza - A two mile mass dog walk which starts at the West Dallas Gateway Plaza and continues along the scenic Trinity Skyline Trail.
