BY THE NUMBERS
Today is Total Eclipse Day!
We suspect many people will be anxiously hoping for clear skies today. The most recent update from the National Weather Service (NWS) reports the possibility for cloud coverage and even severe weather. But the NWS says that forecast could still change. Fingers crossed it’s for the better!
For an educational distraction from the weather forecasts, check out how three cities along the path of totality have prepared for the day’s main attraction.
ONE-QUESTION POLL RESULTS
Last week, we asked Fiscal Notes readers about their travel plans for the eclipse:
- 61% said they will be viewing from their backyards;
- 19% said will be leaving the homestead for another venue; and
- 19% plan to keep away from eclipse mania altogether.
