USPS and SPRS to Include Roth Plan Deductions

House Bill 2283, 81st Legislature, Regular Session, provided authority to the Employees Retirement System (ERS) to allow employees the option to participate in a post-tax Roth 401(k) or Roth 457 defined contribution plan.

Uniform Statewide Payroll/Personnel System (USPS) Application Change Request (ACR) 30661 migrates on Feb. 1 to create these two deductions along with two new screens. Roth deductions will display on Report 978 (ERS Transmitted DCP Election Changes) effective with the February 2012 payroll period.

The previously migrated Standardized Payroll/Personnel Reporting System (SPRS) ACR 30677 that includes the Roth Plan deductions is effective Feb. 1.
