State Use Program Overview Announcement — Austin, TX

 

Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), Texas Comptroller’s Office Present “The State Use Program Overview/Training”

TWC Administration will moderate a two-hour overview for state use coordinators, procurement and/or contract management professionals to ensure agency compliance with procurement laws pertaining to the Purchasing from People with Disabilities Program (PPD). The overview will cover PPD’s responsibilities and duties concerning the State Use Program; discussions on compliance with state use procurement laws, utilization of Texas Industries for the Blind and Handicapped (TIBH), Inc.; Texas Correctional Industries (TCI); Statewide Procurement Division (SPD); the monthly Exception Report and an update on Certification Training. 

Participants are eligible for two hours of continuing education procurement training credits for attending this session in its entirety. Participants are eligible for two additional Continuing Education Hours (CEH) for attending the TIBH Product Expo.

Register online

  1. Check box next to State Use Program Overview/Training.
  2. Fill out the portion on the next form that says: “New Student Registration” IF you have never registered through this system. If you have registered through this system, enter your email address.
  3. Make sure to click on “Free Class.”
  4. After completing the registration form, you will receive a “Training Confirmation/Invoice” email. Keep this for your records.
