Accounting Policy Statements Have Been Updated

Additional Accounting Policy Statements (APSs) have been revised through the 82nd Legislature, Regular Session. Changes reflect updates to terminology, policies, procedures and transaction coding blocks.

Payables and Binding Encumbrances Must Be Reported by Oct. 30

State agencies and institutions of higher education must report payables and binding encumbrances for all previous years’ appropriations no later than Oct. 30 to the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, State Auditor’s Office and Legislative Budget Board.
