Travel Contract Updates

Rental car contracts have been extended with Avis and Enterprise for a three-month term to expire on Nov. 30, 2011.  Terms and conditions remain unchanged for both vendors while rate increases will apply on the following car types with Enterprise locations effective Sept. 8, 2011:

In addition, Avis online booking instructions have recently been updated.  Please view them at: http://www.window.state.tx.us/procurement/prog/stmp/stmp-rental-car-contract/Avis/. Please inform all travelers to make sure step 5 is being followed to ensure the state contract rate and insurance coverage are obtained.

Hotel contracts were extended through Sept. 30, 2011, to align with the Federal Government’s maximum daily reimbursable rates schedule. CPA establishes contracts at a discount off the hotel’s single room average daily rate.  Therefore, contract rates may be higher, at, or below the current federal rates. In a few weeks, we will be re-opening the online hotel registration system for renewals and new applications for the upcoming contract term (Oct. 1, 2011 – Sept. 30, 2012). 

The Travel Agency contract was renewed and will expire Aug. 31, 2012.
