Comptroller’s Office Offers Free State Tax Seminars for Business Owners

(AUSTIN) — The Comptroller's office will conduct 10 free taxpayer seminars across the state in August and September. At these seminars, taxpayers can learn how to properly fill out tax forms and file and pay taxes electronically. Information about e-services also will be available to help taxpayers manage their online accounts. Comptroller representatives will be on hand to answer questions and provide assistance to attendees.

"We want to empower Texas business owners by making resources and information accessible," said Chris Bryan, spokesperson for the Comptroller's office. "Conducting these seminars and making our team of tax specialists available provides guidance for businesses." 

A complete list of locations, dates and times of the taxpayer seminars is available online. Those who cannot attend the seminars can call the Comptroller's tax assistance line at 1-800-252-5555. Tax forms and tax information can be found on the Comptroller's website, Comptroller.Texas.Gov.
