Get ready for some fun in the sun! The City of Arlington’s Bad Königshofen Family Aquatic Center, Randol Mill Family Aquatic Center and its three free outdoor splash pads open on Memorial Day weekend, May 23-May 25.

The City’s two smaller outdoor pools, Allen Bolden Outdoor Pool at Vandergriff Park and Howard Moore Park, will open for the season on Saturday, May 30 and will be open six days a week through Aug. 9. The aquatic centers at SJ Stovall Park in south Arlington and Randol Mill Park in north Arlington, as well as the free outdoor splash pads, will remain open through Labor Day weekend.

The East Library and Recreation Center Indoor Pool is open to Arlington residents year-round.

The Arlington Public Library is proud to introduce a new series of Neurodiverse-Friendly and Neurodiverse-Focused programs for adults.

This initiative reflects the library’s commitment to creating inclusive, accessible spaces where all community members feel welcome and supported. Neurodiversity recognizes that people experience and interact with the world in many different ways, with no single “right” way of thinking, learning, or behaving. While often associated with autism, ADHD, and learning differences, neurodivergence spans all levels of ability and achievement and is not synonymous with disability or special needs.

To support accessibility, the library incorporates accommodations such as softer lighting, multi-format instructions, and flexible participation options. Guests are welcome to bring personal comfort items, like sunglasses or headphones.

In celebration of the 2026 World Cup games, the Arlington Museum of Art is proud to present Soccer: The Passion for the World Cup, a multi-nationally collaborative exhibition exclusively coming to North America for the World Cup 2026 games. Developed for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022 and expanded for the North American 2026 World Cup, the collaboration includes unique, original items from the Museo del Calcio Internazionale in Rome, Italy, Contemporanea Progetti in Florence, Italy.

This unique exhibition showcases the remarkable achievements and milestones of many great champions while exploring the profound passion for the world’s most widely played sport that has the unifying power to unite people and cultures from across the globe.

"Soccer: The Passion for the World Cup" closes Aug. 31. Tickets can be purchased at ArlingtonMuseum.org. Advance ticket reservations are strongly recommended. The exhibit is suitable for all ages.
