The Asian Heritage Celebration kicks off at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 at Levitt Pavilion Arlington.

Now in its fourth year, the Asian Heritage Celebration showcases the sights, sounds, and flavors of more than 30 Asian cultures, many of which are well represented right here in Arlington.

Presented by the Levitt in partnership with the Arlington Asian Heritage Celebration Committee, the celebration offers a rich kaleidoscope of music, dance, fashion, martial arts, and cuisine — featuring a spectacular lion dance, traditional instruments, art demonstrations, K-pop, sumo, and much more.

Calling all ghouls and goblins to join us for a spooktacular evening at Cliff Nelson Recreation Center's Phantom Lights, scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11.

Arlington Public Library is inviting residents to honor their loved ones by submitting photos for this year’s Día de los Muertos Ofrenda, a communal altar celebrating the lives of those who have passed.

Día de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead, is a traditional holiday that commemorates family and friends who have died. Families often create personal altars, or ofrendas, decorated with marigolds, favorite foods, and photographs of their loved ones. The library’s community ofrenda aims to bring together the stories and memories of residents in a shared display. Submissions can be made online through Wednesday, Oct. 15.
