The South Street Art Festival returns this Friday through Sunday in the 300 to 600 block of East South Street. See and buy from local, regional and national artists offering one-of-a-kind art. The free festival runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Shakespeare Live will have four free performances of As You Like It from Thursday to Saturday at Levitt Pavilion Arlington, 100 W. Abram St. Shows are scheduled for Thursday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., with two performances on Friday, one at 11 a.m. and another one at 7:30 p.m. All performances will be free and open to the public
Create Wellspring's first art exhibition, "Come as You Are,"opens Saturday at 201 W. Main St. The opening reception is in the gallery from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and the exhibition runs through May 23.
The weekly Downtown Farmers Market returns this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot south of Mellow Mushroom. Stop by for fresh produce, local vendors and unique artisans. A list of vendors is posted each week on the Downtown Arlington website. Don't miss the nearby Rotary Dream Park, which features two large public art scuptures, and the Downtown Doggie Depot.
