Residents who requested the smaller, 65-gallon trash carts in exchange of the larger, 95-gallon trash carts are scheduled to receive them in June. This is the final phase of the City’s transition to trash cart service.
Residents who either submitted their request by phone or online prior to May 29 are scheduled to receive their carts on one of their collection days in June. The cart exchange is being completed by a separate crew than regular trash collection, so the exact delivery days are unavailable.

What to Know: Bundling Tree Limbs and Other Storm Debris for Curbside Garbage Collection
Some Arlington neighborhoods may be cleaning up fallen tree limbs and other storm-debris after severe weather. As a reminder, tree limbs and fence panels can be picked up curbside on your regular trash collection days. Tree limbs must be cut down to four-foot lengths, bundled and stacked with the large end towards the curb. Branches must be no more than six inches in diameter and bundles may not exceed 50 lbs. Small limbs and leaves may be placed in bags and placed at the curb. Brush is collected at approximately two cubic yard per collection date. Residents may also haul tree limbs and other clean (not containing trash) yard debris directly to the Arlington landfill for free.

Martinez brought home the gold in both shotput and discus this year at the UIL Class 6A State Meet.
“This sport has taken me places I thought I never would go,” said Martinez. “It’s allowed me to set forth my future in college, which is something that is very new to my family.”
Martinez, who has signed to throw at Kennesaw State in Georgia, will compete in the Nike Outdoor Nationals before heading off to college.
