 Muskogee / April 1-30
Experience the blooming of the spring season at Honor Heights Park’s Azalea Festival. Stroll through 132 acres of this Muskogee park as its more than 30,000 azaleas bloom alongside tulips, a parade, delicious food, shopping vendors and more during this monthlong festival.

 Oklahoma City / April 5
Celebrate the return of spring and one of Oklahoma City’s most beloved attractions at the Wheeler Ferris Wheel Opening Day. Be one of the first to take a spin on the 100-foot-tall ride just south of the Oklahoma River. Attendees can also enjoy lawn games, food trucks and family-friendly fun at this annual event in OKC.

 Bartlesville / April 10-12
Travel back in time to when the West was young and experience the rugged pioneer life firsthand during this weekend at the Woolaroc Museum and Wildlife Preserve. Visitors will learn about the men and women who trapped and traded during the 1840s in Indian Territory.

 Stillwater / April 18-19
Admire the work of Oklahoma artists at the annual Stillwater Arts Festival. This event has grown from a small art show to one of the state’s premier displays of local talent. There will be a diverse array of art on display, from paintings and crafts to live music and street performers. See something you like? Take it home with you, as many of the works are for sale.

 Okemah / April 23-26
Enjoy four days of festivities at the Okemah Pioneer Day Celebration. The celebration kicks off with a carnival for the first couple of days and is then followed by the Antique Car Cruise. The last day is all about the Pioneer Day rodeo with the Pioneer Day Breakfast, a plant sale and community parade rounding out the week.

 Norman / April 24-26
Attend one of the state’s premier events at the Norman Music Festival. This free, three-day event features bands and musicians of all kinds performing across several stages along Norman’s Main Street. In addition to the music, visitors can see spoken word poetry and stand-up comedy and browse the art market’s collection of vendors selling jewelry, clothing, and more.

 Oklahoma City / April 25-27
A staple of OKC’s event calendar, this annual run draws more than 25,000 participants each year. Runners will begin at the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum and wind through the city. Take part in the USATF-sanctioned full marathon or join the half or quarter marathons, 5K, senior race or any of the other challenges.

 Tahlequah / April 25-26
Enjoy some good, old-fashioned fun at Tahlequah’s Red Fern Festival. Inspired by the classic story, “Where the Red Fern Grows,” this festival features a wide array of traditional events. Shop unique goods from rustic vendors, sample delicious local food and tour locations directly from the novel.

 Lawton / April 26
Sample some of the best local brews available from Oklahoma’s craft beer scene at the Red River Craft Beer Festival. The premier brewmasters from across the state will descend on Lawton and provide guests the chance to taste their signature beers. Enjoy live music, top-notch food trucks and more. Attendees must be 21 or older.

 Muskogee / April 26-June 1
Immerse yourself in the 16th century at the Oklahoma Renaissance Festival in Muskogee. Over 400 entertainers and artisans will transform the Castle of Muskogee into the Village of Castleton. Take in iconic, period-accurate demonstrations, including jousters, jesters and magicians, and dine on medieval delicacies. From living history demonstrations to live musical performances and so much more, this beloved event is the perfect spring escape.
