This week’s announcement from LPC at the Chamber meeting is a sign of where our city is headed. It reflects the strength of our market, the value of investing here, and the direction our city is moving.
That direction is the Digital Delta. Memphis and our region are emerging as a place where advanced manufacturing, data capacity, and world-class logistics come together to support the next generation of technology. The Digital Delta is more than a regional idea. It is an advantage taking shape in real time.
We can power the next generation of technology. We can build the components and systems that support it. And we can move it across the globe with a level of efficiency few cities can match.
First, we have the core elements in place. FedEx connects Memphis to the world. International Paper provides the specialized packaging needed to protect high-value technology. Hyosung HICO produces the power equipment that supports large data operations. AAON is building advanced cooling systems for data centers. xAI operates the world’s largest supercomputer with two Memphis locations, and Google is investing four billion dollars in a major data campus across the river. These companies depend on transformers, cooling systems, server racks, cabling, chip components, and specialized packaging. Their presence sends a clear signal that Memphis is the right place to make these products.
Second, we are positioned to build the future. Memphis has the potential to grow a strong industrial workforce, supported by competitive energy costs and room to expand. Our manufacturers already supply key components for data centers and AI infrastructure. The demand growing in our region strengthens the case for new companies to produce the next generation of American-made technology here.
We have the talent, the infrastructure, and the momentum to lead the next chapter of American innovation.
Third, no city ships it better. We have five Class I railroads, a major inland port, interstate connections in every direction, and the global reach of FedEx. Memphis can move high-value hardware to any market with speed and reliability. Combined with the industry growing here, our logistics platform makes Memphis a natural home for modern manufacturing.
We can power the next generation of technology. We can build the components and systems that support it. And we can move it across the globe with a level of efficiency few cities can match.
Let’s build a Memphis where the future is forged. Let’s invite more companies to join us here. We have the talent, the infrastructure, and the momentum to lead the next chapter of American innovation. Memphis is rising, and together we are building a future worthy of every resident.

When MYPAC was created, the goal was clear: to bring the voices of young professionals directly into City Hall. Already, this remarkable group is bringing bold ideas, fresh perspectives, and actionable solutions that are shaping Memphis’ future, reminding us that the city is more than a place to live, it is a place to grow, lead, and thrive. Raleigh Springs Farmers Market:

This week, we broke ground on the future Raleigh Springs Farmers Market — a new community space where local farmers and small businesses can grow, connect, and thrive.
This market will bring fresh, local goods closer to home and strengthen the neighborhood for years to come.
